Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering: Assist in designing solar mounting structures for solar panel installations, ensuring structural integrity, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
CAD Modelling: Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to create detailed 2D/3D models and technical drawings of mounting systems.
Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis and simulations of solar mounting systems to ensure safety, durability, and stability under various weather conditions (e.g., wind, snow load).
Bill of Materials (BOM): Assist in preparing the bill of materials, ensuring accurate specifications, and supporting procurement and manufacturing.
Design Optimization: Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, materials, and manufacturing processes while maintaining performance standards.
Prototype Testing & Evaluation: Assist in testing prototypes of mounting structures, monitor performance, and suggest design improvements based on testing outcomes.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet local and international codes, standards, and regulations for solar systems and structural engineering.
Project Support: Provide technical support to the project management and installation teams, ensuring smooth execution of design plans.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design calculations, project reports, and compliance certifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in design or engineering, preferably in the solar energy industry or structural design.
- Strong skills in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for creating 2D/3D models and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of structural analysis techniques and experience with software for stress and load analysis.
- Understanding of solar mounting systems, photovoltaic panels, and the requirements of solar power systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in design and structural requirements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AutoCad 2D & 3D, E-TAB, STAAD PRO software.
- Knowledge of solar industry standards and codes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to solar mounting structures.
- Basic knowledge of project management tools or techniques.
