Job Summary:
The Head – Human Resources is responsible for leading the HR function across the organization, ensuring alignment with legal requirements, corporate policies, and strategic business objectives. The role involves oversight of compliance training, policy formulation, grievance redressal mechanisms, and comprehensive employee lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance & Training
· Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide compliance training programs (labor laws, workplace ethics).
· Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and labor laws across the organization.
· Liaise with legal and compliance teams to stay updated on HR-related regulations.
· Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure HR practices are in line with legal requirements.
2. HR Policies & Governance
· Design, review, and update HR policies and employee handbooks in alignment with industry best practices and legal standards.
· Ensure consistent and transparent HR governance across all departments.
· Drive awareness and understanding of HR policies through regular workshops and communications.
3. Grievance Handling
· Set up and manage a robust grievance redressal system.
· Investigate and resolve employee complaints with fairness, confidentiality, and timeliness.
· Collaborate with legal counsel in sensitive or complex grievance matters.
4. Employee Management
· Oversee the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding to exit.
· Monitor employee engagement, morale, and retention strategies.
· Lead performance management processes and succession planning initiatives.
· Partner with department heads to support workforce planning and talent development.
5. Strategic Leadership
· Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team on people-related matters.
· Drive HR initiatives that align with the organization's mission, vision, and growth strategy.
· Manage and mentor the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
Key Requirements:
· Education: Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven track record in handling HR compliance, employee relations, and policy formulation.
· Strong understanding of employment laws and regulatory frameworks.
· Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification in labor law, compliance, or industrial relations.
· Experience in managing HR across multiple locations or business units.
· Exposure to digital HR tools and systems (HRMS, LMS, etc.).
