We are seeking a skilled and creative Design Engineer to join our dynamic
team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative design
solutions that meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are
functional, manufacturable, and meet performance criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development:
o Create and develop detailed design concepts using CAD software
(e.g., Simens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
o Produce engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications for
new products or modifications to existing products.
Project Support:
o Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to define
project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
o Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and
insights to improve product design.
Prototyping and Testing:
o Work with prototype development teams to create and test
physical models of designs.
o Analyze test results and incorporate findings into design
refinements.
Documentation and Compliance:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation, including design
calculations, specifications, and validation reports.
o Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and
regulations throughout the design process.
Collaboration:
o Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and sourcing
teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
o Engage with clients or stakeholders to gather feedback and
understand design requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best design
practices.
o Identify and suggest improvements to design processes and
tools.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or
a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus.)
Experience:
o 1+ years of experience in design engineering or a related role.
o Demonstrated experience with product design and development
processes.
Skills:
o Proficiency in CAD software (Simens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD,
Rhino, or similar).
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications:
o Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant design
certifications are preferred.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional fieldwork for testing and
prototyping.
May require overtime during peak project phases.
