🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic and persuasive Business Development Trainee (BDT) to join our EdTech sales team. You will engage with potential learners, understand their educational/ career needs, pitch suitable training programs, and close enrollments. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy communication, targets, and rapid growth.
🛠Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Outreach & Prospecting
- Contact potential learners through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and social media.
- Qualify leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, events, and partnerships.
- Conduct high-quality telephonic/video counselling sessions.
2. Product Pitching & Counselling
- Understand student goals (career transition, upskilling, certifications).
- Provide detailed information about courses, curriculum, learning outcomes, fees, EMI options, placement assistance, etc.
- Customize program recommendations based on learner background and aspirations.
- Overcome objections and build trust.
3. Sales Closure
- Achieve weekly and monthly enrollment targets.
- Follow a structured sales funnel (leads → follow-ups → demos → closure).
- Maintain strong follow-up discipline to convert warm leads.
- Handle admission formalities, onboarding, and payment processes.
4. Relationship & Pipeline Management
- Maintain updated lead status and communication records in CRM.
- Build long-term relationships with students for upskilling pathways.
- Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and conversion patterns.
5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with academic counselors, success teams, and placement teams.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
- Share competitor insights and market trends.
📌 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Any discipline).
- 0–3 years of sales experience (EdTech sales experience preferred).
- Excellent communication skills (English + Regional language).
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
- Comfortable with high call volume and fast-paced environment.
- Target-driven with a hunger to achieve and grow.
- Basic understanding of EdTech industry, courses, and student expectations.
🌟 Preferred Skills
- Experience in inside sales, tele-counselling, customer acquisition, or admissions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, Leadsquared, HubSpot).
- Energetic, confident, and proactive mindset.
- Ability to explain complex concepts simply.
