The Project Head is responsible for planning, executing, and controlling projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role involves leading cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, Installation, and commissioning, coordinating with senior management, and ensuring effective implementation and governance of the Project Management System (PMS). Principle Job Responsibilities Plan, execute, and monitor projects as per approved schedules and budgets. Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, fabrication, erection, and commissioning activities. Ensure adherence to quality, statutory, and EHS standards. Manage budgets, resources, vendors, and contracts efficiently. Identify risks and implement mitigation plans. Develop and implement a standardized Project Management System aligned with organizational processes. Ensure all projects follow defined PMS modules: Planning, Scheduling, Execution, Monitoring, Documentation, and Closure. Maintain dashboards, MIS, KPIs, and complete project documentation. Coordinate with management, customers, consultants, and vendors. Promote teamwork, accountability, digital tools, and continuous improvement. Any other responsibility as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Specification (Knowledge, Skill & Ability)
Qualification Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Certified Project Management Professional Desirable: Master’s degree in Project/Operation Management
Experience 7-8 years of experience in steel industry projects, with minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing end-to-end project execution.
