Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop microscope optical systems for brightfield, fluorescence, and phase-contrast imaging.
Design and optimize objective lenses, tube lenses, relay optics, and illumination optics.
Perform aberration correction and define optical parameters such as NA, magnification, resolution, FOV, depth of field, and working distance.
Design and specify custom lenses and optical assemblies, including material and coating selection.
Perform optical simulation, tolerancing, and image quality analysis using tools such as Zemax or Code V.
Evaluate performance using MTF, PSF, spot diagrams, and wavefront analysis.
Support prototyping, optical alignment, calibration, and performance testing.
Troubleshoot imaging artifacts and system-level optical issues.
Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware, and image-processing teams.
Support supplier interaction, manufacturing transfer, and continuous improvement.
