Position Overview
The role requires experience in DCS and PLC systems, including control panel design, assembly and wiring He/She should be able to do panel power-up, and testing. The position involves
approximately 10% travel and 100% presence at Integration and staging floors.
Key Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and understand panel drawings, I/O wiring schematics, and related engineering documents.
Prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for control panels and raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs).
Expedite material availability through coordination with the SCM team.
Obtain approved drawings, loop typical, and wiring/termination databases from the engineering team for cabinet integration.
Coordinate with and supervise panel technicians during assembly and manufacturing activities.
Perform in-progress inspections of PLC, DCS, IO marshalling, IRP, and PDB cabinets.
Perform inspections of Network and server cabinets
Coordinate closely with cabinet integrators, SCM/purchase teams, and engineering teams to meet project schedules defined by the Project Manager.
Provide regular progress updates on DCS and PLC panel assembly/manufacturing status to the Project Manager.
Conduct panel testing, including Megger tests, HV tests, and insulation resistance checks.
Perform cabinet inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Ensure safe handling and storage of materials and cabinets in staging areas.
Maintain strong customer focus, ensure quality deliverables, and promote effective teamwork.
Handle DCS and PLC panel design and hardware engineering activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, electrical or Electronics
3–6 years of relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of MS Excel advanced features and scripting is an added advantage.
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of electrical standards and codes.
Ability to review customer specifications and select appropriate materials accordingly.
Experience with internal FAT and customer FAT processes.
Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO, OHSAS, and 5S practices.
Hands-on experience in preparing RFQs and performing technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform additional duties as
required.
