Roles and Responsibilities:
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems at renewable operations sites. The role ensures compliance with statutory, IMS, and promotes a strong safety culture, and supports safe and efficient execution of operations and maintenance activities.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
1. Site Operations & Maintenance Safety
- Ensure safe execution of operations and maintenance activities.
- Conduct WTG climbs, during any major activity, depend on site requirements, discussion with Cluster Manager, ensuring compliance with work-at-height procedures, approved permits and rescue preparedness.
- Monitor safety compliance during major activities.
- Ensure adherence to permit-to-work-daily, electrical safety, and LOTO procedures.
- Identify safety gaps and drive timely closure with corrective and preventive actions.
2. HSE Compliance & IMS Implementation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001requirements applicable to site.
- Maintain HSE documentation and upload records in audit-ready folders.
- Fulfill statutory and corporate HSE compliances.
- Support internal, external, and statutory audits, ensuring closure of audit observations within timelines.
3. PPE, Tools & Tackles , FE & Safety Inspections
- Conduct regular PPE inspections and ensure healthiness & availability at site.(weekly)
- Perform routine site safety and housekeeping inspections. (Daily follow up and closure)
4. Incident & Near-Miss Management
- Encourage near-miss and unsafe act/ condition reporting, targeting a minimum 5 number per month.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure timely reporting & closure of all safety concerns & incidents in Benchmark Gensuite portal.
5. Conduct Mock drill quarterly on different scenario with consultation with OEM person and Apraava Site ,review the observation of the mock drill, prepare report and share monthly.
Conduct tabletop exercise at site level covering maximum possible emergencies.
6. Behavioral Safety
- Implement BBSO framework.
- Formation of steering committee and conducting BBSO tours as per decided targets.
7. Training & Competency Development, Emergency Preparedness
- Conduct and coordinate HSE training as per Apraava HSE calendar including minimum 2 per month:
- Work at Height, Electrical Safety, Emergency Response & Preparedness, First Aid and Fire Fighting any other topics relevant to site .
- Ensure site safety inductions for all employees, contractors, and visitors before site access.
7. HSE Committees & Coordination
- Organize and conduct monthly HSE Committee Meetings. prepare report and submit monthly.
- Prepare MOMs, track action points, and ensure timely closure.
- Regularly interact with OEMs, contractors, site teams, and partner asset managers on HSE matters.
8. Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly HSE performance reports (leading & lagging indicators) on time .(2nd of each month.)
- Upload site safety reports, inspections, training records, incidents, and compliance data to MS Dashboards / portals. (on regular basis)
