Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimum stock levels (fast-moving, slow-moving, non-moving parts)
- Monitor daily stock movement and ensure availability of critical parts
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification
- Minimize dead stock and obsolescence
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Plan and place orders with OEMs/vendors based on demand forecasting
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and credit terms
- Track order status and manage back orders
3. Spare Parts Sales
- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets
- Promote genuine parts and accessories
- Support retail counter sales and workshop parts supply
- Identify opportunities for parts upselling and cross-selling
4. Warehouse & Operations
- Ensure proper storage, binning, and handling of parts
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices
- Implement warehouse safety and housekeeping standards
- Supervise dispatch, inward, and logistics processes
5. Team Management
- Lead and train spare parts team (storekeepers, counter sales staff)
- Allocate duties and monitor team performance
- Ensure discipline and productivity
6. Coordination with Service Department
- Ensure timely parts availability for workshop jobs
- Reduce vehicle downtime by efficient parts supply
- Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians
7. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain MIS reports (stock, sales, order status)
- Track KPIs and prepare performance reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OEM standards
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle spare parts (HCV/LCV/Buses)
- Inventory control & warehouse management expertise
- Negotiation and vendor management skills
- Sales and revenue generation ability
- Leadership and team handling skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in DMS, MS Excel, ERP systems
