Job Summary
The Solar Trainer will be responsible for delivering training on Solar PV installation, operation, maintenance, and safety practices under the PLTP project. The trainer will equip candidates with the technical knowledge and practical skills required for employment in the solar energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on Solar PV systems.
- Train candidates on:
- Solar PV installation and commissioning
- Operation and maintenance of solar systems
- Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
- Workplace safety and use of PPE
- Industry standards and best practices
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessments.
- Evaluate trainee performance through practical demonstrations and tests.
- Maintain training records, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of training equipment and lab facilities.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for smooth training execution.
- Support placement and post-training activities as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in the solar industry, training, installation, or maintenance of Solar PV systems.
- Strong understanding of solar power generation systems and electrical fundamentals.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and industry standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in skill development/government-funded training projects.
- Certification in Solar PV Installation or Renewable Energy (preferred).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and training documentation.
