Purchase Engineer - Looking for Bangalore or Karnataka candidates only

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components used in industrial automation projects.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Planning & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with project and production teams for material planning based on BOM (Bill of Materials) and project timelines.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Monitor lead times and ensure on-time availability of critical items.
• Logistics & Coordination
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including customs clearance (if applicable), freight forwarding, and vendor delivery tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Design, Projects, Production, QA) to ensure alignment on delivery schedules.
• Vendor Management & Quality
  • Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Develop alternate sources for critical items to minimize risk.
• Process Improvement
  • Implement best practices in supply chain operations to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
