To ensure safe, continuous, and efficient operation & maintenance of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) networks during the assigned shift, complying with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Supervise PNG operations during the shift, ensuring uninterrupted gas supply.
• Monitor pressure, flow, and system parameters of PNG networks.
• Coordinate start-up, shutdown, and isolation activities as per SOPs.
• Handle customer complaints and emergency calls related to PNG supply.

Maintenance

• Plan and execute routine & breakdown maintenance of PNG infrastructure.
• Supervise maintenance of:
• PNG pipelines
• Regulating & metering stations (RMS / DRM / DRS)
• Valves, meters, and associated equipment
• Ensure availability and proper use of tools, spares, and PPE.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce HSE standards, safety procedures, and work permits.
• Conduct toolbox talks and shift safety briefings.
• Ensure compliance with PNGRB guidelines, statutory norms, and company policies.
• Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.

Team & Shift Management

• Allocate duties to technicians and contract staff during the shift.
• Monitor manpower productivity and discipline.
• Maintain shift logs, checklists, and reports.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with control room, emergency response teams, and field staff.
• Prepare and submit daily shift reports, breakdown reports, and maintenance records.
• Support audits, inspections, and emergency drills.
